San Francisco 49ers remain favorites despite Ravens win

Despite a brutal loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Christmas Day, the San Francisco 49ers remain Super Bowl favorites heading into Week 17.

Baltimore, which now has the best record in the NFL at 12-3, is closing the gap, though.

The 49ers’ odds to win the big game dropped slightly after the upset, going from +220 last week to +240 at FanDuel Sportsbook as of Tuesday evening.

The Ravens are right on San Francisco’s tail, moving from +550 to +400 after the dominant road win at Levi’s Stadium.

The pair has separated themselves from the rest of the pack over the past few weeks.

The Miami Dolphins have the third-best odds at +750, followed by the Philadelphia Eagles (+800) and Kansas City Chiefs (+850).

The Dallas Cowboys (+1000) and Buffalo Bills (+1100) are the only other teams with odds better than 18/1.

In a season with what seems like a lack of championship contenders, oddsmakers are seeing a Ravens-49ers Super Bowl matchup as increasingly likely.

FanDuel is offering that Super Bowl pairing at +500, easily the best odds on the board.

Both teams are, by far, the favorites to come out of their respective conference, with the Niners at even odds to win the NFC and the Ravens at +200 to win the AFC.

The Ravens will host the Dolphins in Baltimore during Week 17.

Betting on the NFL?

If they’re as dominant against Miami as they were against San Francisco, this week might be the last time the Ravens aren’t Lombardi Trophy favorites.

Although their win over the 49ers wasn’t enough to make them Super Bowl favorites, it did help put Lamar Jackson in the driver’s seat for his second NFL MVP award.

The Ravens quarterback is now -160 on FanDuel, taking over the top spot from Brock Purdy and jumping from +500.
